Anna has been sharing wellness information with students and clients for 15 years, specializing in pain relief through massage therapy and biomechanics movement training. She has a nurturing yet straight forward, no-nonsense approach to whole body health.
Anna’s personal path toward self-empowerment and her natural desire to seek and share knowledge has guided her to the philosophy of seeking scientific answers that make sense. Her experience with her mother’s illness as well as her own (she is a breast cancer survivor) clearly defined for her that good health is more than just managing disease with surgeries and pharmaceuticals. “The diseases we suffer as a nation are largely avoidable through nutrition, properly aligned movement, and simple self-care techniques.”
As a wellness provider, Anna integrates all her educational, professional and personal experiences to implement the movement, health, and science of good health. She is a Business Administration Graduate from the University of La Verne, has trained in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland, coached children’s gymnastics, and has personally competed in gymnastics at the collegiate level. She certified as a Massage Therapist from the Santa Barbara Body Therapy Institute in 2003, achieved a Restorative Exercise SpecialistTM Certification in 2007 and 2009, and has trained with John Barnes Method of Myofascial Release. Additional massage modalities include Polarity, Swedish, Prenatal, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Sports Injury/Deep Tissue/Trigger Point, Self-Myofascial Release. Her passion is to empower clients to optimize their wellness through massage, biomechanics training and education. Understanding that in optimal health each individual is capable of amazing things and is more readily available to contribute to the overall well being of our community.
